Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone! We had a great time last night. We went out with some friends to Texas Roadhouse. It was yummy! Everything was so crowded I couldn't believe it. Then we went and saw this amazing, funny, great movie called Juno. I like to call this type of movie a dramady. I really loved it! It was so well written and acted! A rare thing for Hollywood these days! The main actress Ellen Page is amazing! She got a nomination for a Golden Globe and I sure hope she gets an Oscar nod!

What fun thing did you do to bring in the New Years?

I hear this was a good movie, so glad to hear more people liked it too!
This is the 1st year my tykes made it to midnight! Then we ran outside and banged pots and pans together to ring in the new year! (something I had done growing up. I shared it with all the kids at church and it was the first thing out of my sons mouth that he wanted to do the same thing on new years eve!)

We went to dinner at Rodizio Grill & spent the rest of the evening at home. Didn't make it to midnight though. :)

Well, Daniel was working a 24 hour shift in the OB unit, so I put the kids to bed, took a bubble bath, talked to my sister on the phone, and read my book (Eclipse--#3 in the Twilight series). When I finished my book, I looked at the time and it was 12:45....totally missed the New Year! So I turned off the light, put in "You've Got Mail" (my favorite movie to watch when Daniel's gone) and fell sound asleep!!!! Sounds like you guys might have been a tad more festive.....

I really liked it, too! Just a warning, though, it's a tad raunchy at the beginning, but give it time, cause it cools off! Happy New Year, Megan! I sure miss ya!

Love Texas Roadhouse-- I am a big fan of the Loaded Sweet Potato!

We had a family party here with cousins, movies, Wii, yummies, etc. Fun!

I'm glad to read that both you and Katrina liked the movie. Based off the previews I had NO intentions of seeing it. But I guess I'll check it out.
